Trends: What Rocked In 2015?

Hello Fashion Forward Folks, Glad, we made it into 2016.
I’d love to take us down memory lane to check out 15 Fashion Trends That Rocked In 2015. When I say trends that “rocked” I mean fashion items that people were really, really crazy about.
Drumroll please

  1. The Denim On Denim Trend
    This is one trend that has been around for a long time, but people really got into it in 2015. Trust fashion enthusiasts to style their denim, also known as jeans, in funky ways, some wore theirs with sneaks while others with heels. This trend seems like one to continue in 2016.

  1. Monochromatic All-White Ensemble
    This is another color trend that was all over the place in 2015. Many events even had the “All White Theme” as a dress code. This trend is definitely going to continue in 2016.

  1. Midi Skirt plus Boots Combo.
    This was one of the trends that really much appealed to me. Combining women’s wear with men’s wear totally refreshing. A Midi skirt can also be paired with brogues or oxfords or sneakers.

  1. The Choker
    This fashion accessory also known as a tattoo choker or punk choker was really trendy amongst young females. Some people were against it but this didn’t stop fashion-forward females from rocking their choker.

  1. Wide-Legged Jumpsuit
    In addition to wide legged pants designers decided to create jumpsuits with wide bottoms. This was a trend that was all over the red carpet both home and abroad. It doesn’t look like it will be stopping in 2016.

  1. Cat Eye Shaped Shades
    The mirrored aviators were a trend in 2014, but with 2015 came the cat eye shaped glasses. Many people with eye disorders even got frames to put their recommended lenses in. I call that being stylish yet health conscious.

  1. Quirky Lip Colors
    2015 was the year for quirky lip colours. This year we had lipstick in shades of blue, brown, black and even green. And trust ladies to pull it off confidently.

  1. Pastel Colored Hair
    The odd colours were not left to the lips alone. 2015 was the year for pastel coloured hair, we had ladies rocking weaves and even braids in pink, purple, teal, mint and yes blue.

  2. The Fedora
    This is not a fashion accessory that is new on the block, but it sure made a comeback in 2015. Many stylish celebrities made fashion statements by donning a fedora and this must have influenced fans alike.

  1. Off-Shoulder Dresses.
    The off-shoulder style really made a comeback in the year 2015. People also went all stylish with it using different fabrics to make a fashion statement.

  1. The Color Nude
    2015 was indeed the year of nudes, no not those kind of nudes, the color was everywhere from clothing to makeup, footwear and even nail polish. It doesn’t seem like a colour scheme that will end in 2016.

  2. Boy Friend Jeans
    This was a trend that came from 2014 and still rocked In 2015. It’s another style of infusing men’s inspired wear with women’s wear.

  1. Mullet Dresses and Skirts

This is another trend that came from 2014 and still rocked in 2015 doesn’t t look like it will stop in 2016 either. So if you don’t t have a skirt or dress with an uneven hemline, dull not! Please go get yourself one.

14. Crop Top and Skater Skirt Combo
This funky and stylish outfit trend is totally going to re-rock in 2016.

  1. Ripped Jeans
    This list cannot be complete without the ripped jeans. Also known as crazy jeans and distress jeans. People really went all out with this trend, the lifespan of the trend is yet to be determined.
