30 Days Of Gratitude – Day 1 – 7 Recap!

30 Days Of Gratitude Positively Present

It’s been 7 days since I started the #Gratitude30 Challenge and here’s how I’ve fared so far.

Hey guys,

I’m doing a thing again. Yes, I’m putting up another blog post and it feels so good. Ah! What a feeling.

It’s the end of another week and I’m eagerly awaiting the weekend. Not like I’m going to rest or anything but it feels good to have some time away from work.

Now down to the business of the day. If you read my last post (side-eyeing you if you haven’t) I made mention of doing a gratitude challenge. This is something I’ve always wanted to do and now just felt like the right time.

One of the amazing colourful accounts I stumbled on Instagram this year was @positivelypresent’s and when I saw that she was having a gratitude challenge I knew I had to jump on it.

Positively Present Gratitude 30 Challenge
Less Complaints, More Gratitude!

Not sure what the gratitude challenge is about? Get more deets here.

Every day I try as much as possible to post a picture on Instagram that matches the prompt. I was going to extend it to the blog but I couldn’t keep up with a daily post hence the weekly recap. So, every week I’ll be sharing a recap of my gratitude posts for that week. Sounds good right?

Here’s how I’ve been doing so far;

#Gratitude30 Day 2 – Inspiration "Most creative work is a process of people passing ideas and inspirations from the past into the future and adding their own creativity along the way" – Joichi Ito . . . . It'll be a great lie if I said that all my creative ideas are new or unique to me. I'm greatly inspired by the things I see around me, the books I read, people I follow and work with, God's creation amongst other things. _______ There's so much to learn from people and things around me and for this I'm grateful ✨ P. S – This is the weirdest thing I've ever done for a photograph. _________ #30DaysofGratitude #GratitudeChallenge #PositivelyPresent #Fallingstarschallenge #LagosNigeria #BeachVibes #SuntanBeach #Badagrybeach #Touristinmycity #Yellowfeed #Yellowtheme #WanShyGirl

#Gratitude30 Day 4 – Color . . . "Our World Is Full Of Beauty It's Just That Most People Can't See It. Take A Moment To Live Your Life And Take In All The Colours Of Our World" _____________________ A few years ago I used to shy away from bold colors, neutrals (think black, brown and grey. White was too bright for me 😂🤣) were always my go to. It wasn't that colors didn't look good on me I just thought my options would be limited. Fast forward to the present I literally eat, sleep and dream in colors. This isn't even about my new found love for yellow 💛🎗️✨ this definitely goes beyond fashion. ______________ So, today I'm grateful for all the beautiful colors I'm surrounded by. I see them in God's creation(beautiful blue skies, magnificent sunset and greenery) on carefully curated Instagram feeds (check my blog for my faves), in various Art forms and of course in my one true love, Fashion . What's your favorite color? 🌈 🎨💙💚💛💜💟

#Gratitude30 Day 6 – Words _________________ By words we learn thoughts, and by thoughts we learn life." – Jean Baptiste Girard ✨ Sometimes I ask myself what if we didn't communicate using words what if we had to use Morse code or even binary numbers? ✨ The putting together of alphabets to make a string of words is such a beautiful thing. ✨ The ability to express one's thoughts, feelings and emotions through writing is such an amazing privilege and for this I'm grateful. ✨ Shout out to those who have the talent to put together words so deep they'll have you reconsidering your existence 😂 iKid. ✨ If you're reading this I'm grateful for you 😘 _____________ #Gratitude30 #30DaysofGratitude #GratitudeChallenge #PositivelyPresent #Writer #WritersofIG #ContentCreator #LagosBlogger #WanShyGirl

#Gratitude30 Day 7 – Memories. . . . ✨ Got home last night and crashed immediately 😴 anyway here's the prompt from yesterday MEMORIES. No matter how hard life gets reflecting on amazing memories can help you feel better and boost your optimism. ________ ✨ The key reason why I always take a thousand pictures, keep a journal, make silly yet memorable videos and keep a record of important phone conversations 🙈 ___________ ✨ What's been your most memorable experience so far? Mine is going on a road trip with my family, visiting 2 beaches in Lagos and attending my first bridal shower 💐 😊 . . . #30DaysofGratitude #GratitudeChallenge #Livingincolor #PositivelyPresent #JWGirl #Memories #2k18 #WanShyGirl

That’s it, guys. I love how each prompt can be interpreted in so many different ways.

If you’ll love to jump on this challenge you can totally start right away it’s also another way for you to explore your creative side and post regularly on the ‘gram.
