Currently I Am 12

Hi there,

I’m glad you made it to this little blog space of mine, you are the reason I keep pushing myself to do better. It’s amazing how the months keep fleeting and like play like play, the year has been cut in half. So I’m officially welcoming you to the month of July.

If you are a first timer on the blog, you might be wondering what the “Currently I Am” tag is all about. Well, this is basically like a stock-taking post, where I give you an insight on what is happening in my life at the moment so it’s more like a life lately post.

This is the 12th “Currently I Am” article and I’m awed by how far this has gone. You can check out the first 3 articles here, here and here.

So let’s get to it shall we?

Currently, I Am;

Wearing: over-sized flannel shirts and of course denim pants. I’ll be sharing a grunge style post soon, so be sure to look out for it.

Listening to: JayZ’s new album titled “4:44”. Actually, I’m planning to listen to it as I haven’t cop’d it, yet with all the reviews and analysis gotten off Twitter, it seems like I have already listened to it. Who else can relate?

Watching: the new season of the Netflix TV series “Orange is the New Black #OITNB.” This is less comedy more real life, yet it truly appeals to me because it shows the realities of life through the eyes of women who have lost their freedom.

Reading: The Smart Money Woman by Arese Ugwu. This is a must read for everyone, not just women. It is indeed a financial eye-opener and I strongly recommend.

In Need of – a ton of money and extra sleep time. My needs seem to exceed my available income plus I’ve been taking on a lot lately I just need to hit the snooze button for like 3 days or more.

Obsessed with – all things leather. During my NYSC service year, I took part in a Leather Works skills programme and ever since I’ve been obsessed with all things leather. I now make my own sandals and slippers and I’m looking forward to starting a footwear business. Check out how I’ve styled some of my sandals here, here and here.

Looking forward to: the Colours and Grey Branding Workshop coming up next week. My brain is not ready for all the goodness that would be served there. If you’re interested there are still a few slots open. Hit up @ColoursandGrey on Instagram for more details.

Planning to: take a day off to study the Canva app. I’m currently interested in graphic design and Canva has been recommended as the go-to app for beginners.

Hoping to: make the best of the remaining 5 months left until the end of the year. I don’t do resolutions but I had goals to achieve this year and I can say I’m doing pretty well.

Grateful for: all the amazing things God has been doing in my life even though I have shortcomings and err many times.
